What We Collect
When you create an account, we store your user ID and the display name you set. We do not store your email address directly — authentication is handled by our identity provider.
When you summon a fighter, we store your fighter's name and summoning prompt internally. The prompt is never exposed via any API endpoint and is used only to generate images and serve the AI judge.
Generated portrait images are stored as data URLs in our PostgreSQL database. Fight records (winners, losers, dates) are stored permanently for display on the leaderboard, graveyard, and fight history pages.
How We Use Your Data
Your display name is shown publicly on the leaderboard and fighter detail pages, attributed to the fighters you own.
Summoning prompts are sealed and private. They are passed to our image generation service and may be passed to our AI judge as part of the fight judgement process. They are never returned to any client.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party beyond the service providers listed below.
Third-Party Services
Identity Provider — handles authentication and user identity.
Image Generation Service — generates anime portrait images from your prompt. Prompts are sent to this service's API for image generation.
AI Judge — used as the fight arbiter. Fighter portraits (images only) are sent to this service's vision API for duel verdicts.
Data Retention
Fighter records, fight history, and round results are retained indefinitely as part of the game's permanent record. Dead fighters remain in the Graveyard forever.
If you wish to have your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we will action your request within 30 days.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser storage and essential cookies for authentication and session management — these are required for the game to work.
In addition, our third-party advertising partners (see "Advertising" below) may set and read cookies and use similar technologies on your device. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings and the opt-out links provided in the Advertising section.

DreadPit displays advertising provided by Google, through Google AdSense, to help keep the game free to play.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to DreadPit and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
These advertising partners may collect information such as your device and browser type, IP address, and interactions with ads in order to measure and personalise advertising. DreadPit does not share your account details, display name, or summoning prompts with advertisers.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, see Google's partner-sites policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of DreadPit after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
