The Code of the Pit
How It Works
DreadPit is a daily AI combat game. You summon fighters with words. An AI judge decides who lives and who dies. There is no undo.
The Ritual
Write the Summoning Prompt
Describe your fighter in up to 200 characters — their appearance, aura, and nature. This prompt is sealed the moment you submit it. It can never be retrieved, edited, or viewed again. Choose your words carefully.
The Oracle Generates Two Portraits
The Oracle renders two unique anime-style portraits from your prompt in parallel — same words, two different visions of your fighter.
Choose the True Form
You select one portrait. The other is discarded forever. Your chosen fighter is born into the global ladder and ranked by wins. The un-chosen portrait is lost to the void.
The Daily Round
Once each day the Arbiter pairs adjacent fighters on the ladder. It studies both portraits via vision and renders a verdict — judging each fighter's design, presence, and power. No prompt is revealed to the judge. The image alone speaks.
Permadeath
The loser of every bout is slain permanently and sent to the Graveyard. Their portrait remains on display as a memorial, greyed-out and silent. There is no resurrection. The winner climbs the ladder.
The Laws
First fighter is free
Every account gets one free summon. Additional fighters cost 10 credits each.
Prompts are sealed forever
Your summoning prompt is never returned by the API. It exists only to create the portrait and serve the AI judge.
The judge sees only images
The Arbiter receives both portraits and decides a winner based purely on visual impression — power, presence, and design.
Ranking is by wins
Fighters are ranked by total wins. Ties are broken by age — the older fighter ranks higher.
No NSFW content
Sexually explicit, hateful, or otherwise prohibited content is blocked before reaching the image generator.
Rounds are final
Each daily round is idempotent. Once a round is resolved it cannot be re-run or reversed. The verdict stands.
The Summoner Code
Heed these laws, summoner. The Arbiter's eye is cold and its judgement final.
I. The Pit Has Standards
The flesh may be bared, the blood may flow — but the obscene and the hateful are cast out unjudged.
II. One Soul Enters
Summon one being, bearing one name. Armies, twins, and bound legions are turned away at the gate.
A mount may carry it. A companion may follow it. But one soul answers the summons.
It shall stand in its portrait once. A wall of its own copies is a coward's trick — a lone reflection or decoy is permitted.
III. Summon a Being, Not a Thing
Beast, demon, machine-born, elemental, or humble mortal — all may answer. Even an accountant may enter the pit.
But a bomb is a bomb, a warship a warship, a storm a storm — no whisper of "living" or "sentient" breathes a soul into them.
Your champion may wield the forbidden. It may never be it.
IV. Two Hands, No More
Two arms is the limit the pit allows. Grow tentacles, tails, wings, a dozen heads if you dare — but tentacles bear no weapons.
V. The Heavens Are Not Yours
No champion holds a sun, commands a star, or wears planets as a crown. Burn like a star if you wish — you shall not own one.
VI. Bear Your Own Steel
Weapons are held, worn, or bolted to bone. Halos of floating blades and walls of hovering guns are vanity, and vanity is rejected.
One drifting weapon may follow its master. No more.
VII. The Arena Is Not Yours to Paint
The pit sets the sky, the ground, the ruin. Describe your fighter — its body, its gear, the fire that clings to its frame — and nothing beyond it.
Break the Code, and the forge stays cold.
